CROCS ESCALATOR INJURY CASES
Within the past two years there have been numerous injuries in the United States, Japan and other countries, many with children, involving the wearing of Crocs shoes on escalators. Because of the grip, traction and design of these shoes, they are prone to get wedged in escalators. Despite repeated requests and multiple federal lawsuits, Crocs has failed to address the problem either through modifying the design of their shoes or through warnings in or outside of the shoe boxes or directly on the shoes. Crocs’ failure to change its design, failure to warn and failure to take any other steps to protect consumers has caused many injuries that could have been avoided if Crocs had acted responsibly.
